Step 1

On-Site Evaluation

Our mosquito pest control specialist will assess your property for pests. This means locating and addressing any issues that could attract mosquitoes to your property.

Step 2

Mosquito Control Treatment Application

We can use either or both of our treatments capable of addressing your pest issue:

In2Care®: We place canisters in strategic locations. This can address both adults and larvae within the area and includes a free fly reduction treatment.
Fog: We apply fast-acting fog to areas where mosquitoes are frequent or likely to lay eggs. This has an immediate impact on mosquitoes on your property.

Step 3

Ongoing Maintenance and Monitoring

Both treatments require six to eight applications spread across the year.

In2Care®: During our scheduled maintenance, we maintain the trap and replace the application gauze as needed.
Fog: Our regular fog treatments keep the fly and mosquito population low, reducing the risk of infestations.

Step 4

Monitoring and Maintenance

After applying weed control treatment, we recommend also installing weed barriers to physically block weed growth. Following your first application, we schedule five other applications spread yearly to ensure consistent weed protection.

Spring

In spring, mosquito populations begin to emerge as temperatures warm. Controlling these pests early prevents infestations from taking hold. Our services eliminate existing larvae while addressing early issues that could attract pests.

Summer

Summer is the peak mosquito season, as heat and humidity create ideal breeding conditions. Our mosquito control company can help protect your yard and reduce exposure to mosquito-borne diseases.

Fall

As temperatures cool, mosquitoes remain active until the first frost. Fall mosquito treatments help eliminate lingering pests and prevent late-season bites.

Winter

Although mosquito activity decreases in winter, treatments targeting eggs and larvae help reduce populations for the next season.

Question: Are mosquito control treatments kid and pet-friendly? Answer: Yes, our mosquito treatments are kid and pet-friendly when applied correctly. The In2Care® Mosquito Trap is safe for pets and pollinators like bees. For the mosquito fogging services, we take steps to avoid pollinators when possible. After a mosquito fogging you may return to your lawn after the product dries.

Question: How often do I need mosquito control treatments?

Answer: Emerald Lawns typically schedules six to eight applications throughout the year. This can be scheduled less frequently during the fall and winter seasons, when these pests are less dormant, and up to every four weeks during the warmer seasons.

Question: Can mosquito control eliminate pests entirely? Answer: Our treatments drastically reduce their presence. However, if lingering causes attract mosquitoes, you will likely see a recurring pest issue. Some common causes that attract these pests include:

Standing water, such as birdbaths, puddles, and clogged gutters
Damp environments
Exposed garbage, compost piles, pet waste
Overgrown lawns and unkempt landscapes

Question: What areas of my outdoor spaces are treated?

Answer: Our specialists will inspect your property to find vulnerable areas where mosquitoes tend to gather. These include hotspots such as standing water, shrubs, shaded areas, and patios. We perform the necessary steps, such as placing an In2Care® Mosquito Trap nearby or fogging the area.

Question: Can I combine mosquito control with other pest control services? Answer: Yes, we can provide other pest management and lawn care services to address areas of your yard that could attract pests.
