Bed Mulching helps conserve water which has a great environmental impact!

By mulching your landscape, you use less water on your plants. This contributes to reducing loads of water that American’s use on lawns. How does mulch conserve water? Mulching cools the soil and, as a result, the roots remain cool year-round. Cooler roots have a higher tolerance to the drought of summer and the frosts of winter. Additionally, cooler soil means less watering since the water does not evaporate as quickly within cool soil. In return, there is less need for water as the ground is able to hold onto water for longer!
